Okay, I’m back here on my oft-abandoned soapbox of a blog. And it’s because of something frivolous, (big surprise!) but as a fan of comic books, movies and comic book movies; I feel I can keep my peace no longer.
The textures have got to stop.

Actually, it was this morning..around 2 am. I was coming home from my wonderful job with all its security and benefits and easy working hours, Read more »
I am aware of the hypocrisy of posting only when I feel the need to vent, or when things get hard, or when I’m down and can’t see any other way out. Read more »
Well hello there!
It seems that I am still alive, after all. What’s been happening in the world? In my own little rounded corner of BizarroLand, I have made a major career decision and left my professional job with Paramount Home Entertainment Australia to pursue my dream-design. Hence the lack of time for updates, information, and other assorted luxuries like adequate sleep and peace of mind. Read more »
Celebrity endorsements. Not only are they as annoying as a normal advertisement, they have the additional oomph of putting people we are already quite familar with right back in our faces. Read more »
In the interests of consistency and focus, I’ve made my “Living in the Deep South” section a blog of its own, which can be found here: http://moresouththansouth.wordpress.com Hopefully this will lead to more frequent updates and perhaps a tiny bit more organization here in my cluttered mindstream (watch out for the flotsam).
The ideas are escaping me and going off on their own already, and it seems like just yesterday I was saying how lame they were…(sniff). My boys are growed up.

In this new section (Short Stories That Won’t Die! page), I thought I would use this blog for its original intention: a place to host my ideas for writing. This in contrast to the chaotic , meandering, directionless stew it has become. So on this page, I’ll be posting some (evenutally all) of a short story that I’ve been kicking around for a long time, in the hopes that seeing it on my screen will prompt me to finish it.
So…in essence, this will be a chaotic, meandering, directionless stew-with a purpose!
I apologize in advance for any discomfort at the quality, and remind you-if you must throw something, please throw money.

Dangerous, I’ll admit.
Do animals feel emotions like we do? I understand that they are in general not equipped the same as us, brainwise-but just how complicated is the process of what we refer to as emotion? I have personally witnessed animals exhibiting signs of anxiety, fear, and affection-along with what I can only classify as “happiness”. Given that I’m interpreting this through the lens of my own sapiens experience (which is okay, because the question is whether they feel like we do), I can say that I’m fairly sure that animals feel at least the basic emotions that we do. So…been having a little trouble with sleeping lately, dreams and such invading my normal lovely comatose state. They haven’t been too bad until last night, when for some reason I was conviced I could see the future in my dream. That is, I was dreaming-and I was convinced that I was lucid, and I was convinced that I was seeing future events. I think being forced to watch a whole season of Dead Zone for work (don’t ask) has played tricks with my little cocoanut head. I’m not psychic. I occasionally figure things out, but that’s just because I try to be observant and I have a small talent for remembering insignificant details (what an amazing power, I should join the Justice League..I could be…”Trivial!”) Read more »
As you may have gathered from the literally thousands of bits of personal information I have scattered throughout the internet, I am an American by birth, living now in the island continent of Australia. What you may not know is that I originally hail from the South in America, North Carolina to be specific. Read more »
